Whether you are flying for fun or towards a professional career in aviation, RAMAIRs recreational pilot course is the first step. During the Recreational Pilot course, you will learn the fundamental skills and theory in piloting an aircraft before your first solo and subsequent flight test.
The key points of the recreational pilot license:
- Fly an aircraft under 1500KG (Typically Cessna 172 or Piper Warrior)
- Can take passengers.
- Can fly within 25nm of your local airport and within your training area.
- Can fly to other airports (with additional training)
- Can fly to controlled airports (with additional training)
- Will require an aviation grade medical
- Will required a security status check
